PHONE, EMAIL AND VIDEO CONFERENCING –
Professional Communication Across Different Channels

A phone call, a short email or a video meeting may seem simple at first. In everyday working life, however, small uncertainties can quickly lead to misunderstandings or an unprofessional impression.

How Does the Company Benefit?

Apprentices communicate more confidently and professionally with colleagues, supervisors, customers and external partners.

Clearer communication reduces misunderstandings, prevents incomplete information and supports a consistent professional image.

Participants also become more confident when selecting the right communication channel for a particular situation.

What Makes This Workshop Different

The workshop focuses on realistic communication situations from everyday vocational training.

Participants do not only discuss rules and recommendations. They practise phone calls, formulate emails and reflect on their behaviour in video meetings.

Practical examples and direct feedback help them recognise how small changes in wording, preparation and personal presence can significantly improve communication.

What Apprentices Appreciate About This Workshop

Many apprentices feel uncertain when they have to call an unfamiliar person, write a formal email or speak in an online meeting.

The workshop gives them the opportunity to practise these situations in a supportive environment and to develop useful routines for everyday work.

They receive practical wording, clear guidance and direct feedback that can be applied immediately.

International Perspective

Expectations regarding formality, directness, response times and professional communication can differ between countries and organisations.

The workshop can therefore be adapted to the cultural and organisational context of the participants.

For international groups, it can also address common communication practices in German companies and help participants avoid misunderstandings when working with German colleagues, customers or business partners.
